HTGistory

1994
The band started as a trio with Olaf Rosenfeld (Guitars & Vocals), Frank Gawehns (Bass & Vocals) and Stefan Geisteier (Drums & Vocals) out of the band “Just For Fun“ from Ratzeburg and was supposed to be just a kind of project. However, gigs at smaller events had more resonance than expected.
The flexibility of “unplugged performance“ permitted the band to play on the smallest stages without loosing any of its enthusiasm. The trio proved its steadiness in numerous gigs in Mecklenburg and around Ratzeburg.

1998
The band expanded to a quartet with Ralf „CCH“ Kiesler (Keyboards, Guitars & Vocals). In this cast HTG got a reputation as “PIKASSO house band“ and with great success took part in the “Woodstock Revival“ in 1999 in Ratzeburg as guests of Scott Williams & Michael Jessen.

2000
Stefan Geisteier left the band due to family reasons.
Therefore Renè Lenz took over the Drums as a regular member. One definite highlight has been the annual open air festival in Tangstedt.

2002
The musical spectrum of the band had grown into a quintet with Sascha Benke (Guitars & Vocals).

2003
5 is the number!
The highlight of this year is the Kunst- & Kulturfest in Ratzeburg.

2004
The Frankman has gone to Chicago for a 2 years period [Sweet Home Chicago...]. HTG is doing a break.
